    Hey guys,

Gathering parts for a Gen V top swap, the PCV should be cake with the N*, but I have concerns about the EVAP. What I'd like to do is use the Gen V EVAP, and run a line from that to a throttle body adapter with a nipple in it for this purpose. Only problem is, I read that the N* and Gen V evap have clearance issues, and I won't be able to run the Gen V evap. Is this indeed correct?

Is my only course of action to block off the Gen V EVAP hole and use the Gen 3 EVAP? I'd much rather use the Gen V if possible, just looks cleaner and nicer to me.

Understand that, but I have at least 2 threads that give conflicting information. One states that a Northstar allows you to retain Gen V EVAP, and another says there is a clearance issue with the N* and GEN V Evap... just looking for advice from someone who has actually done it / confirmed that it cannot be done.

I bought the Gen V evap purge solenoid to use with my N* setup. On mine, it does not even come close to clearing the TB. I plan on using a block off plate, drill and tap it for a nipple and then run that to the Gen III evap solenoid. I agree, it would be cleaner install but it just doesn't fit.

Thanks for the feedback. I figure the adapter plate would add some clearance, but probably not enough unless it is extra thick. Also read about people flipping the TB over, but that probably looks like garbage and introduces other problems.
