simple upgrade could i run a dual set up with 3 inch straight from the head with high flow cats with dual oxygen sensors, just 1 or 2 sensors. and two mufflers all 3 inch.

just wondering if this would harm my exhaust valves, wondering if this creates enough back pressure??

wow, lots of people asking about this lately.

    1) we only have 1 o2 sensor to work with
    2) no gains would come from this, sound or performance
    3) difficult to run two pipes back to the rear

it is very difficult...and expensive...even on my firebird the true dual setup is going to cost a grand to run out the back...
'01 GTP mods: K&N intake, autolite 104's, drilled 180*, !u-bend, !EGR, ported s/c, polished heads and TB and a LOT more whine
'99 firebird mods (1 of 6): LS1 swap, custom exhaust, LS6 IM, RA intake, and a few suspension parts

You can run one 02 sensor off of one bank of cylinders. You can run a true dual setup. You can TRY to make the piping fit all the way back. You also could just buy ZZP's catback system and save yourself a lot of time and trouble, that would be a simple upgrade.
