I didn't like how the downpipe dipped down, some people say its fine, but I cut the flex section out and welded in a shorter flex section to fix it. also, your front o2 sensor wire harness will need to be lengthened. the clamps that come with the speed daddy headers sometimes leak, so try them out and if they dont leak then thats a good deal, otherwise you can pick up a band style clamp that should fix the leak.

and sometimes crossover doesnt fit correctly and have to be forced to fit(like mine)bash in the firewall for the o2 sensor(like mine) and bend the a/c line(like mine).
it was still worth saving the $400 though

Most modded cars on this site run SD. Just look in the signatures of the people in this thread. They will work fine, and if you're serious about modding, you'll need that $400.

Hell, Buy the SD, save the $400ish and STILL BUY THE ROCKERS.

    I'd buy a 3" downpipe.

    Maybe a PLOG.

Then modded 1.9's and LS6 or L76 springs.

Then pulley down and tune it.

    Enjoy 50~ more WHP.

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree. 2 piece design and you're all in minus the downpipe.

Nick we're destined to disagree on things!

I switched 2 vehicles from TOGs (1 TOG Xtremes) to ZZP headers and both lost 1 PSI from the extra flow.

The pipes were never aligned properly with the head ports on any TOG header I've looked at.

My ceramic coated Xtremes started rusting and never stopped.

I also hated the leaks from the donut gasket connections, was constantly removing customer's headers, straightening the flanges, replacing the donuts and reinstalling them.

Haha. The reason I like togs better, is because they are all flange connections. Not that you would ever have a problem with slip fit connections, I like the simplicity of flanges over slip fit for removing and reinstalling.

We had a ton of struggles with clamp leaks too, and the car failed inspection more than once because it "sounded like it was leaking". I wish I'd gotten the good stuff, I feel like I wasted my money by trying to save money. Everyone's different I guess.

Soooo it seems like either speed daddy or ZZP headers first and that depends on how much screwing around I want to do vs. amount of money to save. . .Since I hate having to do things over again, ZZP headers are gonna be my choice.

It looks like the Speed Daddy headers say they are only for 97-03 Grand Prixs anyways

sd headers fit all 3800's regardless what the listing says.

and i did rockers before headers, tossed a U bend delete in and had no KR with a stock pulley still. i was at 8* of kr before the rockers and u bend delete.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW
