A stock turbo grand national traps 110mph with some bolt on mods.
A 48mm 50trim is a significant upgrade for them.
A few of the early turbo kits used 50/57 trims. Some used a similar gm46 turbo. All trapped at least 115.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
compressor seems a wee bit small to me for twin charged
i jsut looked at the exhaust housing again...it looks like a t4 on center housing??? if thats indeed what it is sure build your setup around it. when i first saw it i thought it was a t3 turbine
the square part where the exhaust gas goes into the turbine.
that is a t4 in center turbine housing which means it will bolt up to a cartuning crossover and downpipe fyi. lets see what we know so far.
Compressor:
48mm, 47 trim t04e cover .60a/r
Turbine:
50 trim t4 on center in .58a/r
this is the closest compressor map i can find for that compressor.
Finally got around to the rebuild and so far i'm gonna need a replacement turbine shaft as the threaded end snapped off. That and some of the parts in the t3/t4 rebuild kit are different. Not sire if its worth the cost of rebuilding the unknown vs the cost of an ebay turbo.
The thrust collar is alot different as well as on my compressor backing plate

And on the backing plate theres a seal and a brass bushing with this sleave in it that is where i am getting play. Those pieces are not in the kit
