I just bought some ls6 yellow springs off a forum member. I posted in a Facebook group saying I received the product and was promptly told by Brian Turner aka dyno Brian and Chris Hinson that they have a high failure rate. and that the blue ls6 springs were the replacement of the yellow. Brian posted this link.
    http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...-failures.html

However my question is does the 3800 put less stress on them? My plan is to run 1.9 rockers with them. Stock cam stock shift points. Hoping for some input from you guys. I don't want to break the springs. But I don't just wanna throw them away. Any input will be helpful. Also if this is in the wrong section feel free to move it to its proper section. Thanks guys.

Personally, I would run them without hesitation.
2004 Comp G "The Panda"- low, e85, big brakes SOLD
2002 Trans Am- 6 speed, bolt ons or something, it's slow.
2006 Silverado- forged ls2, 4l80e, plate kit, also slow...

I do recall the ls community having a problem with them in certain situations, but here in 3800 world, they hold up just as good as factory springs.

Thank you for your input I figured we aren't as rough on then and I def wouldn't be running stock other than 1.9s

Many people have and are running ls6 springs with a xp cam without issue so I can't imagine 1.9 would do anything...fwiw I ran 1.9 rockers and stock springs shifting at 5900 and with zero issues so I'm sure the Ls6 will work great

Also I think the failure hinson may be talking about was someone running 3800 retainers with ls springs which caused a install height

If I remember correctly the 90 lbs LS6 springs put a higher load on the timing chain. When I ran them years ago I noticed much more wear on the tensioner with the VS cam and LS6 springs after about a year of use.

I ran yellow 90's on my XP setup for over 40k~ miles...only thing I had to worry about was the tensioner getting ate up.

Rockers won't warrant any lift remotely close enough or hack up the idle quality to care about spring choice.

Toss them in, set the shift points at 6k, and enjoy.
