I have a 98 GP GTP and here recently a off and on whinnin sound is comin from the SC at idle to 2500 rpm anyone have a idea which bearings would cause this. there is no performance loss noticable. the car has 120k miles. the sound usually last for about 15 to 20 mins .

Are you getting 2 different whines? If so it could be your power steering fluid is low or u pump is going out. Its kinda by ur SC and mine done that and would only whine around 15-30mph. Sounded like I had 2 SC lol.

there are so many things moving in that area it is hard to pinpoint sometimes. If you have never changed any of your tension pullies you should look there first. Your alternator could be going, could be your power steering(check fluid level), check the water pump to see if you have any coolant coming out the weep hole(bearing could be going bad), check oil level in the supercharger(should be just to the bottom of the threads) or you could change the supercharger oil. Check or change when the engine is cold. Hopefully your snout bearings aren't going bad.
