I was grinding plastic.. Hot melted plastic hitting you on the bald head, never feels good.

Here's why I did it. Light up Pontiac!

You screwed up and bought a GP, hence it will not light up or has the ability to.. jealousy is perfectly fine.

Cool, once I'm finished and have time I'll try to do a write-up.

Have you started the top swap yet?

Cool! It's not to hard to port/polish the outlet of the blower, but it can be time consuming without the right tools.

I did it with a dremel with a few bits in about two~ hours.

It's not too bad at all. You just want to make sure you tape over the needle bearings in the back of the case and another other hole, because those shavings...

    go...

    everywhere.

Gains are going to really be that special, just a little more whine and a cooler outlet charge/possibly a smidge lower boost numbers. But normally all that translates to less KR.

Exactly......Lol! That wouldn't be good for the rotor needle bearings.

And please don't ever get sucked into the "fill the silencer holes" business.

    It's more harmful than anything.

Yes......I agree! I read up on that and it's there for a certain reason. Me personally, I'm not touching those holes, maybe a little polishing that's it. Thanks for sharing!

Those bolt bosses...run them down flat so they're flush.

And the two bolts that go into those spots...cut them so they're flush as well.

As for the silencer ports, you can open them up a little bit as well. I've seen that done as well...this was my Green Bastard blower that was done in and out, quite a bit of porting was done to it. I'll have to dig up a picture somewhere.

I'd just do it all now.

No point in leaving 10% of the material lol

When I did my Gen 3, I pretty much just took the bolt bosses out of the triangle and smoothed everything else. It definitely reduced KR by a small amount, but also, I think I lost a bit of boost. Maybe I did something wrong.
