My radiator in the GTP has a hole in it. I ordered a cheap replacement on ebay, unfortunately fedex damaged it so i am waiting for another one. I found out that they offer two sizes for the wbody platform a 1" and a 3/8ths inch core.
the one i have coming to me is a 3/8. Is this going to cause any issues? I know it has less cooling capability, but is it diminished enough to cause a problem?
I can get a 1" core locally for 105, but with tuition, christmas, and classes coming up, id rather not spend the money if i dont have to.

i think you mean 5/8 th's rad, not 3/8 th's they only sell 1 inch and 5/8 ths that i could find, im sc'ed and am running a 5/8 th's rad, it should be a 1 inch. but 5/8 was cheaper. temps run the same.

looks like it is 5/8ths, the guide says it matches the cars with the one inch core so i might be getting that one maybe?
i just want to make sure im not going to overheat if i get the "smaller" core

On another note what temp do the fans come on? I think the car has a 165* tstat on the move the engine temp stays at around 160-170, at a ligt it starts climbing i think its hit 180-190, haven't heard the fans engage yet.

    fans come on at 212.

id get a warmer t stat. 180 or stock 195. if you have a 180 in there now, wont know till you take it out and look at it, put a stock one in.
