I just used the 15mm and grinded down a socket, worked like a charm. Thanks tho

Got her a new battery. She tries really hard to start but no luck. The Fuel pump doesnt choke anymore with the new battery in. I can still hear the pump Priming itself when i turn the key. Dont know if I need to change wires, plugs? I checked fuses they seem to be correct and working. Will try again tomorrow. Thanks

Can you describe the noise it makes when trying to start up? Or how far into the starting process it gets before it gets no farther?

double check plug wires, make sure all plugs are plugged in.

and why were you messing with the starter wires? no need for that for a lim job.

theres a ground wire near the tensioner too. if you took the coil bracket off, you took that wire off. make sure its back on too. and if you took the coil bracket off make sure you didnt pinch the wire harness to it with the bracket.

Long story short...I have another Impala SS that I was trying to sell. The starter on that one went bad so I took the one off my Indy and put it on the 05 SS. Well time went by and I ended up keeping the 05. Starting working on the 04 Indy so I had to put the starter back on her.
That ground wire near the tensioner is the one that I thought I had grounded incorrectly. So I fixed it right as it was originally. Pinching those wires with the bracket may be the case. Did not think of that. I thought the wires were in a good spot but Ill double check tomorrow.
I double and triple checked the spark plug wires as well as firing order. Everything seems to be intact.

And she will start to turn, keep turning she keeps trying but nothing. Just keeps turning. I may sound like an idiot but its like "ra ra ra ra ra ra" lol
If anything ill post a video tomorrow.
    Thanks

open the cap on the fuel rail, push the pin inside, gas should spray out, if it dont, you have no fuel. ( watch your eyes)

Turn key on and off then check. Pressure might bleed back.

Check for spark if you can. If not buy one these for the drawer and follow the below.
    http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog...q=spark+tester

Pull the three front plugs. They might be soaked with fuel from the weak battery not turning the engine over. If so, dry them and put them back in.. you can get an engine started on 3 cylinders..then the other 3 should come to life as the fuel gets blown out of them.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

i use a 12 point socket, kobalt. fits perfectly inside the tensioner. pretty sure its a 13 mm nut too aint it?

Yall were completely correct on the nut size. I got them mixed up. Thanks

This is her trying to start up. I'm going to get new/better fuel injectors, spark plugs, and wires. See where that takes me. I double checked the wire for the distributor and everything seems intact and grounded. To me she sounds like shes there just not getting maybe spark?... Thanks

    Scott...

Not to sound like a stuck up jerk... I tend to know what's up with these things...even over the internet. Odd, yet I'm good at it. Some people listen to me, some spend money and then listen. This guy.. could do a lot of quick diagnosis based on what has been posted. He's choosing to spend his money instead. Maybe we can convince him we need $20 each to help him diagnose it?

Cause you know that if we were standing in front of this thing....it would be running yesterday.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
