Re: Having trouble bleeding the cooling system
ok. let try bleeding the master then, if it got low good chance it sucked air into it.
find a wrench that fits the lines to the side of the master, then take a rag and wrap the wrench and nut, cause some fluid is gonna leak out.
you need a pedal pusher guy for this. he pumps the pedal 3 to 5 times till its as firm as it will get, he holds the pedal down, you crack the line nut ( do the back one first) his foot hits the floor, he holds it to the floor till you make the line nut snug again, then tell him to pump the brakes again, tell him hold em, you crack the nut again. if its got air, you'll hear the air blow out, repeat till its just fluid coming out.
then do the other line. if all goes well the pedal is better but not perfect, so now you go bleed the calipers, start with the right rear, rear left side, then the pass front then the d/s front wheel.
with a friend you can bleed the calipers the same way, he pumps the pedal, holds it then you crack the bleeder, he holds the pedal to the floor till you make the bleeder tight then he pumps it up again. 3 to 5 times per caliper should be good.
KEEP A GOOD EYE ON THE MASTER, DO NOT LET IT GO DRY. you see it hit 1/2 full, fill it.
Re: Having trouble bleeding the cooling system
Ok ill try that. Dam this car has been a headache ha but i still love it lol
Re: Having trouble bleeding the cooling system
its no fun if the master sucked in some air. f's the whole day up.
what year you got? if the abs pump is bolted to the master like mine is theres 2 bleeders on the abs pump, that you bleed the master and pump with.
if its 2 lines, you have to bleed the master via the line nuts, or take it off and bench bleed it.
Re: Having trouble bleeding the cooling system

Sounds good man. I sure hope this is the last thing i have to do so i can finally drive it ha
Re: Having trouble bleeding the cooling system
Hey so i did everything you said and every time just fluid came out. But i still dont have pressure. What else should i try
Re: Having trouble bleeding the cooling system
hard to say, the master could be bad. why did you change the calipers? was it because of a mushy pedal?
Re: Having trouble bleeding the cooling system
It was because of. Torn boot that cause my piston to sieze. But hey its all good now and my car is finally ready
Re: Having trouble bleeding the cooling system
you got the brake pedal back to normal? if so sounds good.
