Zzp and intense has a good selection of cams to choose from so research and find the one that fits your driving needs and goals

No reason to pull the heads for a cam, but depending how bad the cam bearings are and where they went, might be easier to get an engine and build it up. If your dead set on pulling the heads you could probably find a cheap N/A engine to swap them on to it.

Also, have you ever done cam bearings? Either way replace the rear aluminum plate gasket behind the flywheel.

If you are pulling the heads, no reason to do anything but an xpz.

wait a min here why does it need a cam bearing? I have never not a single time heard of a cam bearing fail on these.......

    lets start with that...

    then goals for the car?

then budget? how much do you want to spend?

how about a transmission want to replace/upgrade that too? (this will help determine how bonkers to go with the engine)

330whp 400 wtq stock heads stock bottom end s1x cam gen5 2.8 pulley e85 and headers..... pretty decent numbers imo and plenty to obliterate a transmission............

Because I spent more time porting the heads on that car than everything else on that project.
