I am running 104s and seem to be working well. E85 should allow a bit hotter spark due to it's KR fighting abilities.

    Welcome to E85 man!!!!

I have been tempted to swap in some 103s and see if it gets rid of the periodic part throttle knock I see with my 104s

Basically, I would perssonally start out with the hotter plugs. If I saw a little bit of knock I would try and have it tuned out. If that doesn't work, then try the cooler plugs.

So 104's being 2 ranges colder, might be fine. If you pulley down and start seeing a tiny bit of knock you can't tune out, you may want to try the 103's

With running higher boost levels with E85 along with more timing than a typical pump gas setup I tend to run cooler plugs just in case. Hotter or cooler plugs is only the rate at which the plug and dissipate heat......has nothing to do with how hot or strong the spark itself is.

I see. I was always told you want the hottest spark plug you can safely run to achieve the most even burn and nost efficient burn.

But the info I've been told about was for 93 octane which is what I run. Since I'm not E85'd I'm not well informed about E85. That said, I'm probably going to avoid posting in E85 posts as much =P
