Ok I found some autolite plugs for 2 a piece on eBay, there compatibility thing says the plugs are the same me the 03 3.1 and 98 3.8 gtp, does that sound right?,also when I find wires for the gtp the compatibility thing says 99 and up,I thought 97-03 wires would be the same, figured they'd be the same for the 3.1,anybody know?,thanks

Autolite plugs even at Autozone are like $1.99 a piece. I take it you're looking for plugs for a 3.1L?
I believe they would be the same as the stock GTP plugs?

I just looked on Autozone's site and the 99GTP plugs and 99 3.1's plugs are the same. For Autolite's cheap plugs, which are the coppers, the AL 606's were the same part number. But the copper plugs will need changed out more often than the higher end plugs

Plugs and wires aren't much cheaper on ebay/amazon than at your local parts store. And your local store knows what your car needs.. So.. yeah.

Wires, as mentioned, just do stock from parts store with their warranty. Can't go wrong with that. Really no benefit from performance grade wires or whatever =P

Yeah, of it were to come unplugged and get close enough to spark on something metal, yeah. Pretty sketchy.
Yeah, I'm sure they'll do you just fine, probably notice a difference compared to the old ones. I know I did haha

What does the box have to do with it? I'd pull them out and return them or you'll be doing it soon enough anyway.
