Re: converting L67 to E85
A few things.
I have a 97 grand prix that I converted to E85... I was able go from stock horsepower to around 300whp without doing ANY mods but putting a smaller pulley on and changing the injectors.
If you put 42# injectors in, you will not have to tune for E85 at all, which is handy, and the stock tune works GREAT with E85. You can also push the limits of those 42# injectors to about 310whp on a stock tune and stock fuel pressure... You could try to up the fuel pressure a bit when you do your fuel system if you wanted to stretch them... its usually easier than tuning for guys that dont have easy access to tuning options.
You could then upgrade from there, and 60# injectors would be needed, as well as tuning being a good idea at that point.

Was that with the 3.2 SC pulley? If you were able to run a 3.2 without issues, I feel like I should be able to go smaller than my current 3.1 with the mods I have
Re: converting L67 to E85
I had a 3.2 laying around but it should be easy to see a 3.0 or smaller on there.

aside from the mystery KR I see at part throttle on occassion under medium loads, my setup handles the 3.1 without issues up through WOT. Maybe I should drop down to a 3.0 and see how it responds

Thats impressive! im getting my brothers old gtp (97) in the next week or two, and ive been trying to figure out the first stage of mods, it looks like this is the way to go! 250 for injectors, and a high flow fuel pump, maybe cai and headers, seriously big gains!
Re: converting L67 to E85
Shouldn't need that fuel pump yet. I'd just rewire the pump and call it a day for now! The other mods sound spot on for some serious fun :)

what sort of pulley should i expect to be able to run on the stock pump with those mods? im guessing a good 50wHp?
Re: converting L67 to E85
stock pump is fine even on e85 with a rewire to close to 300 whp IIRC

A really good rewire maybe.
I didnt want to mess with tuning mine so I just put a good pump setup together instead of dealing with tuning around the pressure drop.
Re: converting L67 to E85
I'm taking this route as well. Looking forward to seeing the gains after the e85 with my 3.4 setup.
Re: converting L67 to E85
Dumping in e50 to a 3.4 pulley setup might be worth 20whp alone probably more with no tuning.
Re: converting L67 to E85
Hmmm Ok still a bit curious lol. I have a 3.4 setup and I'm wondering after e85 how low can I go? What should I be expecting?
Re: converting L67 to E85
a 3.4 setup will struggle on stock injectors as it is.
Re: converting L67 to E85
So witt the e85 I should be running faster and be able to down lower? Pulley size wise?

What do you define as struggling? Im at 16ms with 75% duty
Re: converting L67 to E85
Re: converting L67 to E85
Lol kind of feel the same. I've never heard about a 3.4 setup struggling on stock injectors
Re: converting L67 to E85
I think he meant e85 and stock injectors on a 3.4 setup would struggle.. which would make sense
