Hey guys just wanted opinions. Currently saving up for a FWI or CAI, but until then, if I was to just put a 7" K&N cone filter on the end of my throttle body is there any harm that could be done to the engine? I'm sure the S/C would sound awesome, but just wandering if there would be any actual gain in HP? Thanks to all

I think you need a 4" opening on the filter. Measure the TB first.

if you have a '04 GTP you can't. You have to bolt it to the end of the MAF as that is the closet you can get. With no mods it is going to hurt you more than help you. Make a custom fenderwell. Until you go cammed or get a intercooler...a TB Intake won't help you at all...

Its better than the stock airbox for sure. I'm running an open cone right off of my TB no problem. Really the only time your car is sucking up hot air is when the car is sitting in traffic, when its moving there is airflow on the engine bay.

I doubt that without a lot of mods...cone filter on the TB is for highly modded GP's only. At least run the pipe to your opening of your fender for best results.

blue is right. ive tried many variations with the intake with no other mods and even now and away from the engine heat is best till your supercharger is requiring more air.
