back in the day its what you did to fix a pump, parts stores all sold just the pump, not any more, they sell you the whole canister these days. but on line they are available.

im all about saving a 100 bucks when its within reach. and try to pass it on to you diy'ers. hell that 100 plus can be used else where better right?

^right. That $100 could be used somewhere else. I wish they still just sold the pumps too.. Sucks that they don't. Would it be a bad idea to see if a JY would have just the pump for a 99GTP?

    Or I found this

cheap is just that cheap lol not in my car it dont go lol.

keep searching around, they are cheaper for a name brand part. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2000-PO...-/170884902318 but this is all you need. just the pump.

The one I linked, is there a problem with it? I am wondering because my sending unit acts up. It says I have a full tank until I drive about 50+ miles. Then it slowly drops as I drive to about half a tank. After that it kinda plumets to a quarter amd then to E. I mean when it says I'm on E it's usually relatively accurate, I have a few gallons left. Thats why I am wondering if it would be worth it to replace the whole thing or not

you can also get the dorman fix for that level sender for 20 bucks. and fix your canister 100%.

double check this part for your car, it says all, so it should fit. 15 bucks is a win, free shipping too.

i thought it said 97 up. but you can see they are out there and for cheaper still then buying a whole new canister.

you maybe able to get the dorman one off advance auto's web site. buy on line pick it up. use a code for a few bucks off.
