Looks like you are using an aftermarket gearset. There's a few things things to keep track of
Balancer and cam balancer gear must line up their dots.
Then, turn the cam so the key is approx 4-5 oclock
Turn crank so key is approx 2 oclock
If there's a dot or 0 on the key hole of the crank gear, put it on they keyway.
Now the 0 or dot on the tooth of the crank gear should be pointing to 12 oclock
Line up the cam gear dot/keyway and you should be able to take pics of all dots/0's lining up.
And put your old crank gear back on with the new one on. All dots should line up. This is your triple check that everything is correct.

right now its sitting just the way yours is pictured and yes its a rollmaster singe

Now you check compression.

compression still off... but the car ran for a second.. but the flex plate is messing up.. so im snatching it back out... putting new valves in it...and changing flex plate..

Smooth the tops of the pistons where the valves hit while you are at it.
