Firstly, thanks to those in the chat trying to help me out, answers were useful but vague and somehow sounded like an arguments. Anyways, posting a thread won't hurt anyone and might be of use to later people.
So I've got a 3" downpipe on my thing, and it's leaking horribly at the top gasket, (Manifold to downpipe), I'm fairly sure that the part store gasket wasn't the right one, it was just somekind of composite, didn't look like an exhaust gasket that much, was all grey. Bottom one they gave me was good, though, had a metal ring and such.
Now what I'm asking here, is what should I use to re-seal both ends.
Gasket or RTV/Right stuff? Gasket could allow me to drive my car as soon as the job was done, RTV would have me wait a night and nights here are still freezing, so I think that might not be the best (Unless RTV can still cure at 0C to -10C)
If Gasket, what would be the good # numbers I could give to that dude at the part store, I checked online and it always came out to be more expensive.
Help me figure out what to use to fix that ******* horrible exhaust leak, hah.
