I bought my 07 gt used and i noticed in the trunk that on the right side there is a big a** hole!!! wat is SUPPOSED to be there??? any body else that bought theres brand new can u let me kno please so that i can get whatever the heck is supposed to be there. thank you

I have a 07 GT and there is nothing in my trunk on the side...well there is carpet up so I have never looked. But its icey BAD outside. Tomorrow I will go look for you and let you know. But I have felt and don't think there is anything there. But I will check it out for ya!

It may be a place for a cd changer. That's where the one is on my 97. Not sure if it's the same for the 04+ models.

Okay I looked and I dont see anything....the spare is UNDER the carpet like on the floor and so is the jack.

OnStar was on the left side of the trunk, at least it is on my GP. Of course they could have changed it at some point.

On Impalas the CD changer would be on the right side, if equipped.

dam thanks guys its not under the carpet it IS the carpet. Idk if that explains anything, probably not, but its like a sunken hole right side when u pop the trunk. to be honest with you i thought it may be a place for a first aid kit or something but please lemme kno cuz its irritating to see a big a** hole where something should be. Its like a carpeted covering should be over it, again i appreciate you guys helpin me out here. fyi no cd changer cuz my stock stereo has one built into the deck jus load 6cds n go

Again, I have a 07 and I don't have that. My car is pretty much loaded... Why don't you just take it back to where you got it and be like HELLO!!IS THIS! lol

O i had that in my 05 there should be a little net there its like a storage.
