Re: Your not so typical misfires?
When you added the wiring to lengthen the O2, did you use the same gauge wire or thicker? If not, redo it. Also, if you tried to lengthen it on the sensor end, this can also be problematic. I am unsure what type of wire they use, but it hates being soldered. Maybe a loose/bad connection. While we are on the O2, ensure w/o a doubt that the O2 and it's related wiring does not touch any plug wires, if so.. reroute, the high current going through a plug wire can screw with the O2 readings etc.
As for DH and Snowflake going around and around about what a factory tune is set for, please post a pic of a stock 2004 table and that should clear up who is full of what.

I did lengthen the cars wire not the sensors and i used 1 gauge lower than factorys. I did know about the spark plug wire touching the o2s wire and thought of this when i seen the code came up, ill go take a look today maby it moved and is now touching.
As far as the tune goes. There is no need to bash Nick hes a nice guy and people need to get over the past. Anyway when i brought the car to him it ran like garbage due to me trying to tune the car with bills hp tuner i borrowed and started not knowing asses from elbows. The car would hesitate shifting into gears at wot due to my shift points vs rpm table being wrong and nick fixed that. The car was running great when i left with no knock but again i asked him to try fixing this car without a wideband at the time and said i would purchase one, throw on the 3.6 and get a retune by him. When i got the wideband and 3.6 on that day we planned on going to a dyno event and he would tune my car then, i was late as usual and it took longer than expected at bills to swap over the pulley and when i got ahold of Nick he was in no mood to tune my car which i cant blame because he was out relaxing after that ****ty day.
Im going to grab a camera from work and look at my pistons. I already pulled the plugs and they looked fine. Im also going to recheck torque on the intake ect to make sure that didnt loosen up.
Nick if your down for Thursday that would be great.
Re: Your not so typical misfires?
The only thing that might happen from cleaning the bolts and not putting anything on them is you might get coolant/oil seepage on top of the lim from it wicking up the bolts. I doubt they loosened up from it.
As for that day.. LOL "please, don't drop a wrench, I might wretch"

Oh yea also have my headache to blame for it taking longer than usual lol
Re: Your not so typical misfires?
I'll be at Dan's house in Willington (shorter drive for you) working on my car Thursday.
You're more than welcome to swing by I'm sure.
Don't beat up the car until we figure out whats going on in there lol
Hey DH if you want to actually be helpful... the proper PID for accurate IPW's for DHP on the 04+ would be nice.

Def man. Ide like to see you guys cars too. :) Hit me up with an address via pm and what time you will be there, i wont be late this time. :P
As soon as we get the car figured out aslong as the engine isnt toast ill be installing the cam. I dont see how the pistons could be chipped though the highest ive seen the kr go to was 5 and i immediately let off and after that 3 has been the highest but only if i go wot and i think its at shift points.
Re: Your not so typical misfires?
Car was retuned and its now running great.
However the misfires were noticed to only be at idle. So there must be some underlying issue going on.
Re: Your not so typical misfires?
There was 100% no chipped pistons. :th_thumbsup-wink:
Re: Your not so typical misfires?
I wanna know what the issue was lol
Re: Your not so typical misfires?
There wasn't much of an issue. AFR was a bit on the lean side, but with the wideband that took 1 flash to correct.
