So Im doing a lot of stuff to my gtp. Im doing a fuse box, battery, and pcm relocation. Also replacing the trans and steering rack... I might install a hand brake from a grand am. Does anybody know how to move the alternator to where the ac compressor is? Do I need a different alternator? Also is there anything else I can move. Like the coil packs? How would I put them under the front header? Maybe the map sensor? I'd really appreciate any input or ideas that would help clean up and organize the engine bay

I don't see moving the alternator being a easy step I would a imagine a bit of machining is require to at least make a bracket. I would leave it in the stock location.. Coil packs guys usually move those to the firewall. Map/Baro you can move you'll just have to extend a few wires.

Move the coil packs under the exhaust manifold is a terrible idea too.

This.. Especially when you have to remember about the spark plug wires.. Back of firewall near the top would be a better option. Check out either Anthony Smith or Machinegunsquids build thread

They have don it in a fiero application. http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Archives/A...-1-053213.html
The write up is missing a lot of pics at a quick glance as I have not read it yet. But if you google "fiero 3800sc alternator in a/c location", you can scroll down and see some pics so you can get an idear of the look and belt routing.

On all the fiero builds he told me to look at. I found that picture myself. I forgot to ask if anyone knew who built that bad boy. Sorry for the confusion.
