    Yep, and once you start dropping pullies, temps shoot up.

    Still, the cooler the air going in, the better. Does it make a world of difference, no, but does it make you feel better, yes.

    Wow 300° that's crazy. No wonder intercooling is such an efficient mod. Anyway if the iat's are 30° cooler, the air should go down at least 20° past the S/C. Doesn't seem like much once you get in the 300's but if you're not intercooled it probably helps a little. Plus some people like knowing things were done as efficiently as possible (like me).

    Even if there is a 30* difference I HIGHLY doubt you would retain 66% of that and lower outlet temps 20*. Plus by the time you are intercooled you are prolly on such a small pulley that the added flow is much more advantageous then a few degrees pre-blower.

    Stock air filters have tons more flow than a stock engine would ever need. That's why I will always leave mine, I just changed it and gutted the box completely so it's all open. And hey, 30° is 30°. If it doesn't retain even 66% of the lower temperature, that means the heat was absorbed from something else resulting in a cooling of that (the s/c). I'm just saying better is better, even if it's not THAT much better. It's still better.

    so on friday i installed some knock off flowmaster 40's and 2.5 piping from before the ubend back. sounds nice and aggressive but i'm definetly gonna need a bigger resonator cuz as was expected drone is nasty.

    but the good news is the most kr i've seen is 4.4kr and that was above 160km/h on country back roads lol. under 140 you get an occasional blip of 1-2.4kr but for the most part it has disappeared. fuel economy is going up slowly as well, and funniest **** is while doing 80-160km/h pulls the DIC actually went up from 16.8 to 16.9mpg.... blew my mind lol.

    so my faith in this beast has been redeemed.....hit 29.9mpg on the way home from the cottage today. most kr i've seen is 4.67 so i'm pretty damn happy and will definetly be installing headers at some point. put in a email to will to see if we can get a flash in before the end of april.
