yes it still works when its cold out.
maybe the bad alt/dead battery is causing the issues? cars hate when they dont have 12 volts to run off of.

Yeah I sure hope so. Im taking the battery back to wal-tucky in the morning. I will update.

Does the fact that the trims drop back down to 0 when I unplug the maf with it running mean anything?

How do I go about testing an alt

dont unplug the maf when its running, that just pisses off the engine lol that test is always car off, unplug it, then start it up. if it runs better the maf is bad.
car running/idling put a volt meter on the battery, it should be over 13 volts. closer to 14.
the battery you should charge it over night if you can, put it back in and go to a parts store or wally world, they have a load tester and a volt tester all in one.
Will the DIC voltage suffice or should I get a volt meter? I have 13-14 V with car running via my DIC and scangauge2. 0 V without it running.... lol
The battery is 2 months old Im just going to take it back. .. its already out of the car.

Dam I tested my alt on batter and the volts right off it and I was at 14.7 from the alt and 14.2 on the battery. Your reading should look like mine if not you need a new one
They told me at wal mart it just needs charged but theyre charger is broken so they gave me a new battery... alternator? Bad connection? This blows

i find it hard to believe a new battery just died cause its cold. unless its defective. volt meter time, parts store has one, its free.
mines like 2.5 years old, i dont drive it a lot and its never died on me yet.
ok. new battery, and i bought a voltmeter. im pulling 14.1V with car running. 13 with it off.
i started the car with the MAF unplugged. Fired right up and trims good at idle. It did pop a MAF low voltage code, but i assume thats expected. Should I try driving around with the maf unplugged? I sprayed her down with carb cleaner yet again today and nothing.
right. the code didnt pop up until after the 2nd start with MAF disconnected.
pigtail is fine, maf cleaning was the first thing i did. can i testthe MAF w the voltmeter?
fuel pump??
Im borrowing a fuel pressure gauge today, ill go from there. Any idea what parameters im lookin for on the pressure?
