yes i am lowered,,, why?
because it might be causing your vibration during accel. did this occur before you lowered the car?
lowering the car offsets the axle geometry which in turn causes a vibration.
it was lowered when i bought it and is there a cure for this or just hae to deal with it?
you can either shorten your dogbones about 3/4" or put in some spacers that go underneath the mounts for the trans and motor to raise it up a little. the spacers are a little bit more work, but most likely the best solution.
you just have to make sure that is it. is it misfiring or anything? is it strictly accel in the starting of driving, around 20-35 or so? gets worse the harder you pedal it for a short time?
i kind of need more information. is it just a dash rattle? or does the car shake?
the vibration i can see that with it being lowered,, now, the rattle i hear is when i push the gas ,,,if i am going down the road and just push the gas you can hear the rattle ,, you do not hear anything at idle but when u push the gas at take off or if you press the gas to pick up speed you here the rattle and no there are no misfires or anything like that
no no u must have misunderstood,,,, the vibration is seperate from the rattle,, now i am assuming with the car being lowered that is my vibration problem,,,, no the rattle is when i push the gas at anytime either when i takeoff or accelerate on the hwy ,,, no misfires no ticking or rattle noises if the car is in park and idling
no! only when in gear and pushing accelerator
i will check ,but i dont think so,,,, would you rule out the valves?
.Possible flexplate issue? Remove your flexplate cover, rotate it to make sure it isn't cracked. Check the bolts also. Is it a metallic rattle or more like a ticking? A bad flex joint can cause a ticking sound when accelerating.
its a 2000 gtp 140,000 miles 3.4 pulley,3'' downpipe,zz performance intake,eibach lowering springs, raven performance exhaust.
the tranny changes gears fine there is no problem with shifting or slipping or anything of that nature,,are you talking about the rattle?
Yup, is it a rattle that sounds like marbles in a can or a tick?
yup sounds like a can full of marbles when you push accelerator
it doesn't sound like ticking noise
