flashing cel mean a catastrophic event is happening.
you would be better off getting a sawsall and cutting the cat off and riding open dp vs with the clogged cat.
being your a 01 you'll want to keep the rear o2 working. so maybe get a walker cat and DP or just have the cat changed at a shop. ( they could do the U bend delete while they are there, if you have one of them) try to stay away from hi flow cats.
you'll need them anti fouler's and hope they fool the pcm. 01 is a messed up year for the rear o2 sensor. theres a thread on deleting them. or making them work not sure any more lol
if its a zzp catted dp it will have a hi flow cat. walker is stock replacement. aka not hi flow.
shop around at your local shops, see what they offer price wise to cut and weld in a new cat, shouldn't be over 200. you could bring a glass pack for 25 bucks and have them put that in place of your res too, fix 2 birds with one stone.
I can tune your cat out if you want to just get a catless dp and do that.
I'm straight piping it on Saturday. Then have you do it with the fuel millage tune you dm'd me about? Getting a stock catback from the jy to. So I'll have my exhaust all done
I have a stock catback in the garage that has a hole in the res if you're interested.
It's not a huge hole the seam's kinda split open. I was running it on my comp g when you saw it I think.
