I have a set of head gaskets that are felpro and on both of the gaskets the direction arrow are pointing the same direction. They both have a R on them also, there is no L for Left! They are two of the exact same Gasket. When putting on the Right with the arrow pointing towards the pulleys seem fine, but when going to the Left side the arrow point towards the ballancer unless you flip it upside down! Has anyone had this problem before, any advice would be appreciated!

Flip the gasket. Fel Pro only lists really one part number for an SC gasket. Point the arrow to the front and you are good.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Thanks for the the info Billboost! Its been driving me crazy trying to do this right! So facing the striped down on the one side on the block is the proper way to insall these? Just out of curiosity, what would happen if the arrow pointed towards the flywheel on that one side with the striping facing up? Thanks again for your input

most likely the ports will not line up with the ports in the gasket.
