I have a surging idle and don't know why. Was throwing o2 sensor code so I put in a new o2 sensor and no more code , but still getting a surging idle. Hoping to get some idea's to try an figure out what's going on.

mines does it also from time to time i checked all vac, replaced o2 sensor, tps, cleaned the tb put new plugs and wires and still there at random but also feels like it holds back at times
Maybe check the IAC. That and try cleaning the MAF.
Since the OP didn't say what year the car is, if it's an 04+ then removing the TB and cleaning it along with the MAF might very well solve the issue.
samuelbc- what plugs did you install? Hopefully copper or the stock irridiums... Have you checked the "T" under the SC snout? Often they crack and do not show an issue until moved a bit.
do what im gonna do....sell it and dont bother with it anymore
Why do you still complain? So you had a issue with your car...big deal every car is going to have its fair share of issues. If you rather not replace it and just want to sell it then so be it but don't spread your negativity around here...guys are here to help others not to provide terrible advice like just sell it and be done with it. Not everyone hates their cars and many understand that's parts do fail and need replacing. If you want to complain do so in your own thread not someone else's.
Sell the car with problems, buy a new used car with another problem, sell it and buy another used car with another problem. It's a cycle then, only way to stop the cycle it is to fix it.
Oh I understand how cars can break and need repair. but these cars are more than average. ive read MANY complaints on how these cars have the major stalling issue and we all done the same
fuel resistor change
relays
pumps
crank sensor
maf sensor
pressure regulator
vaccum lines
idle control valve
tune up
clean tb
and guess what?! it still happens. people take their car to a dealer/specialist and they still cannot find the problem! why is it that i have to beat the crap out of my fuse box for my car to stay on? you're telling me that this issue is common/normal with cars? i doubt that.
i had a 94 3000gt that had 199 on the clock and i just replaced the oem clutch.
im not being negative, just being honest on how its not worth the trouble
I know many people with GP's (or 3800/4t65e combo) that are up to 150k + original engine and trans, and not many issues. You cant have a problem, shotgun a bunch of parts, and still blame the car. It's not like all of those parts, and more are all causing one single problem. Something's wrong, one thing. You replaced a bunch of things, and didn't change the issue. Not the car's fault. Did you replace all of those things in attempt to fix the same problem? And if you hitting something truly makes a difference, it's time to inspect all of the connections in the box.
checked all the vac lines and all are good i used autolite 103 coppers gapped at .50
Oh I have autolite 104's gapped at like .53 or .52 or something like that, i cant remember. I'm Going to get some zzp 10.5 mm ignition wires in the near future.
With my 3.3 mps its getting some kr too. Is there anything I can do to help that out too other than dropping pulley size? I run 93 gas.
The vacuum line t is fine and I have a northstar throttle body the was cleaned before I put it on. I had zzp take it for a tsst drive and he said that the oxygen sensor seems to act lazy at idle and low dropping rpms. I have pace setter headers and down pipe withe a brand new denso oxygen sensor in the down pipe, I have no cat so the rear o2 is deleted. By the way the car is a 01 grand prix gtp with a gen v sc, north* tb, air intake, ported heads with 130# valve springs, xp hot cam, double roller timing chain,180 degree t stat, 3.3 zzp mps, and zzp 1.0 pcm plus obviously my headers and down pipe as I stated earlier.Just bought an aeroforce I terceptor gauge yesterday and I'm still learning how to use that and trying to learn what the readings should be at some of the stuff. Hopefully that helps out. It was surging worse then I got ride of an e haust leak and it stopped, but occasionally still does it and it wS causing my car to run rich at first too.
