Ok guys I'm gonna swap my Gen V Into my current setup and I have some questions oh and I have read the write up for it very informative. Would I really need to get a altenator bracket from a 98 up grand prix? Could I just shave off some of the bracket? And if so what did you guys use to trim it with im not around a dremel so im teyna improvise if I do the n* lq4 combo would I need a tune after the install? Thanks

Just get a TB adapter plate, that why you arent swapping TB's and you'll need no tune.

Thanks I'll look into that but for now could I just swap with n* lq4 and tune a little after the swap? Being as I will actually want that setup after its all said and done to go with my cam intercooler ported head setup

The bolt pattern for the throttle body is different on a gen 5 than a gen 3 so nothing will bolt up. You have to buy an adapter so buy the adapter for what your planning on running. If you change to a different style of throttle body you need a tune.

If you plan to pulley drop and intercool do a one time tune no need to do different tunes as you add that is what I did. Put cam gen v, injectors, N* and had it all tuned to it.

Don't forget you'll have to cut out your l67 LIM, the outlet on the Gen V is bigger.

You don't need to change your alt bracket unless you plan on running an IC if you have a 97 or 98 you will need a 99+ alt and bracket

Use the Gen V gasket as a template, It will show you how the L67 LIM needs to be cut to fit the Gen V to it.

LIM modification is not required but can improve air flow. Modify to match your intercooler. Lot of gen 3 intercoolers under gen 5 supercharges. If you run a gen 3 intercooler no need to make this bigger than the intercooler.
