    Will an n/a 3.8 alternater bracket work on a s/c 3.8

    it should as long as its from the same year. or group of years, the alternators changed, and so did the bracket over the years.

    98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

    Horizontal bolt bracket for the 140 amp.
    Vertical bolt bracket for the 125 amp.
    The old horizontal bolt brackets had the water pump elbow cast in.
    The later ones & vertical bolt brackets use 2 elbows.

    99+ bracket is different than 97-98
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood

    03 shortblock 98 topend (aside from the coil bracket, which is a 2000) a lil more carification

    so a 98 alt is being used?


    the alt you have has to match the bracket. unless you dont have a alt yet, then you can just go find any pair you like.

    Went ahead and bought the alt bracket off the 01 l67 figured i could get replacements easier
