Is it possible with the M90 supercharger to run it on a switch. Like the scene from Mad Max. That way city mpg could increase and you would feel more bad a$$ flickin it on.

I don't know much about the m90 supercharger so don't flame it was just a idea...

You can pop the hood and take the belt off and when you want to feel bad ass just pop the belt back on.

Want better MPGs? Stay light on the pedal. Install a boost gauge and stay out of boost = no supercharger.

If your BBV works, then you "dont" have a supercharger on it when your driving normal.

Well it IS possible to add a switch that would prevent boost, it would have to be wired into the BBV.

But it's kind of pointless because it's not going to boost when cruising and normal driving anyway, even if the BBV is deleted it will wont create boost under normal conditions.

You don't need a boost gauge to stay out of boost.

No, of course you don't. However, this guy apparently doesn't know when he is and isn't in boost, a gauge would tell him.

If it's a self control thing... Well, don't put an intake on it, will be that much worse for you.

Even if you could "turn it off" driving it hard without boost is still going to kill mpg's.

On a serious not YES it can be done if people want to argue or not it HAS been done......... Mercedes clutch hub pulley or more recently procharger vaiable boost supercharger but this option is not M90 its a basically a CVT housing running the supercharger. Google my friend google! The clutch up pulley work kind of like an AC compressor clutch.

Yes I did one on my old GTP. With the switch on, it limited me to 3PSI even at WOT. Then when I wanted full boost I'd turn it off and it would shoot up to 12-13Psi. Worked out awesome on the street for launching and worked even better for sandbagging.
