I've heard things about 01 grand prix fuel pumps and was just wondering what's different? Is it both gt and gto models?

I think the only difference between the GT and GTP is that the GTP's have a 2 speed pump.

you're thinking of the venturi. Which is also on some 2000s (mine had one). Its a second pump that keeps the canister full.

Its actually better to have a venturi. It works a lot better. Just some aftermarket pumps dont come with a venturi. And the cannister is different as well for a venturi. The AEM pump I bought didnt have a venturi and I had a venturi system so I had to mod my cannister to work which means now I cant let the car go under a 1/4 a tank of gas without risking things.

Ok thanks for the info. One last thing will it make it harder for a fuel pump rewire?

No, the fuel pump re-wire will be the same regardless of which pump you have.
