Hey guys, I noticed I had a coolant leak so I went to investigate. I found my elbow(s) are leaking for sure, but I wanted to know what that T fitting thing is above the front elbow. I have coolant dripping from it. At least that's what it looks like to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't done anything to this other than a CAI, and a new thermostat (just some autozone one) about 4 months ago. She's got 101k miles on it too.

Here's the best pic I could get of it... http://i.imgur.com/d1angoE.jpg

    Thanks for your time guys.
    I'm a noob with cars sorry :/

Well ****... unless the elbow is cracked maybe up top? Can I just pull the vac line out and see if anything comes out?

Yes. In theory nothing should come out. It wouldnt hurt to replace it either, as well as check for cracks in any of the vac lines. You can get the full vac line kit with a brass T for like $20 or something I think from ZZP.

I mean when the elbow broke it probably sprayed coolant all over places.

Awesome! I just checked the vac line, nothing came out and seemed bone dry. The vac line was cracked and broken where it connects to the engine. Is it ok to drive it around with it cracked? I placed it back on the nipple sticking out from the block. Thank you so much for your help man I really appreciate it.

Well I mean its a vac leak. So its not really okay. It wont run great and I wouldn't go WOT with it until you replace it, but it will be okay to drive for awhile.

Im sure you could find the stuff locally too. Its essentially just the T's and some tubing you can cut to size. Its very common for the stock vac lines to crack and break over time.

go to advance auto, they sell small white vac T's. a pair for 2 bucks, then get 4 inches of vac tubing. then cut that 4 inch piece into 3 equal parts, toss the old T, then put the new T with each end with a vac tubing on it its place push it on the stem on the manifold, then push the stock lines into the vac lines on the new T.
