Hi everyone, I have a 2000 gtp, completely stock.

Over the last week or so, I noticed that my engine temp would go above normal when I first start my car..but would drop down to normal after a little bit, and be fine until the next day. Sometimes it took me getting on the gas to get the temp to drop. Additional note, my low coolant light has been persistant despite me not actually being low. Last thursday, my temp rose and never came down. My resevoir has a whole in it..can't fill it above half. I normally checked my coolant level by how much was in my radiator. I pulled the cap thursday night while on the side of the road, and attempted to put more in thinking maybe it magically got drastically low somehow. I poured the coolant in, and as fast as I poured, you could see it coming out of the bottom of the car, but I did not look to see exactly where, I could tell it was in the area where the lower radiator hose went into the radiator.

After the engine had cooled a bit, I went to put more coolant in to see exactly where it was leaking, but it did not this time. The car started up and drove the three miles home just fine, no miss, normal temps, etc. Replaced the lower radiator hose, the car now seems to be missing, also replaced the thermostat today, the car is not leaking that I can see, the system is pressurizing, but my low coolant light is still on and my temp kept rising again. Is there any ideas that could be causing these symptoms? Thanks in advance guys.

Could it be the water pump, and for the randomly leaking idk. Have you replaced your Lim gasket?

Update: overheating seems to be gone...its misfiring like a sum*****...can't hook a reader up because my obd ii won't communicate....tried a friends snap on scanner and it said something about overcurrent protection? Also I suspect I may have a bad radiator cap.. As far as the lim...I have not...can't say if it was before....its a Jy engine

Update 2: took it for a spin around the block....can't get over 30-35 without the check engine light flashing....and started to smell burnt rubber in the car....I am not qualified for this...I am in over my head....probably taking it to a shop in the near future
