Ok I've got the same leaking issue. At first I had the P0128 code come up and after a few hours post removal I noticed the t-stat was still wide open. So I went to Autozone and got a new t-stat and gasket, installed it but now it leaks once the engine begins heating up, and the engine QUICKLY red-lines overheat shortly after so I dare not drive it at all until this is fixed. I pulled the new one out and checked the gasket's direction but I had it installed correctly, I re-installed the old one but it still leaked. I should also mention that I thoroughly wiped the mating surface for both the housing and where the t-stat sits but it still leaks like a siv from the front of the housing once the engine heats up. Should I resort to RTV as well? Thanks for any assist...
