    Ok so I am swapping out my old 3.8 sc motor in my 97 grand prix gtp. The motor had over 216000 miles and it finally gave out. Soo while I had the motor out I figured it was a good time to clean up the engine bay. Had oil caked all over. I sprayed some degreaser and decided to have my brother pull me to the car wash down the street. Was thinking the high pressure would be best to clean up the oil. Well at that time I did not realize the passanger cv shaft was resting on the frame of the car. While I was pulling the car the shaft was rotating on the frame making a horrible sound and greese was flung all over the area I just cleaned. While I was replacing the cv shaft I found out the shaft completly came out of the inner housing assembly. Luckly I was not far from the house.

    i know you're bummed but i had to laugh.

    216 isnt that high, though.

    Yeah..I don't do that. Hence why you see that end of the trans supported in any pics I take. Cause..there's nothing holding it BTW.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Didn't you support the trans when you pulled the motor, say with a jack?
