99 GTP, wife was driving it and it died a few times, started back up.. would be fine for a couple weeks then would do it again, I noticed it did it more when colder temps out. I threw on my Solus and got a MAF code. I was driving it one night and it started chugging on me in the freeway had to pull over a few times. I came to the conclusion that the MAF must have been cutting in and out as the car would run fine then it would get a false reading and the car would sputter and die, SO i just unplugged the MAF and she ran great. I probly ran it like the trouble free for a month. only thing i noticed it was confused as to which gear to be in but it was fine. Well i finally bought a new MAF for it. sure enough CEL shut off after the 3rd cycle and it runs just the same only better mileage numbers already..

the problem, The trans is shifting better for sure BUT now the car sputters pretty hard only under WOT, usually when it hits about 4500- 5k rpm it will buck a few times and then clear up, my first thoughts it maybe needed to "reset" it self with the new sensor so ihammered it around hoping it would learn. it quit doing it for a day, then today it did it again under WOT ( i was testing it), so not sure if somthing got messed up with the new sensor or maybe i have a fuel problem?? any ideas?? thanks

We do have issues with reman'd sensors pretty often. Since you have a good tool, I'd hook it up and see if you have any dropouts in the reading. Also wiggle the wiring on it. Often you'll see ScottyDoggs letting people know how the wiring over the exhaust tends to go bad from the heat.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

im gonna assume ur stock... so go through the basics... sounds like the ignition is breaking up at higher rpms... check ur plugs, wires, coils, and icm... check vac, 02's, and maf hz's too... theres also a fuse in the under hood box for the maf sensor as well called ign-1 i believe
