I noticed my motor was pouring oil out so I crawled under and saw that my oil pressure switch was leaking.
I checked the write up section and didn't find anything so I figured I'd ask here.
Does anyone have a how to or guide to swapping this goofy thing? Is it easier from the bottom or should I take off the alt and try from above?
    Thanks for any help.

I assume your talking about the oil pressure sending unit? If so, easiest route is from the bottom or remove the tire and shroud, then it's right in your face.

if you want to go with an aftermarket sending unit, make sure you get 1/4 NPT thread.

    Hope this helps

ive changed mine 3 times. no shroud removal, and its not in your face at all really.

jack the pass side of the car up, take the tire off, now look past the oil filter, and then reach in to it and use channel locks to remove it, no wrench or socket fits to it clean.

when putting in the new one, dont send the treads home, they are tapered threads and get fatter. stop when it gets snug in the thread sealant thats on the new sensor. or you WILL crack the housing.

I thought my shroud was missing, I guess there is nothing behind that tire?

nothing you cant stick your arm through.

theres some plastic higher up, but nothing where the axle comes through, that sensor is 2 inches above the axle. its a clear shot reaching in.

Awesome, thanks a ton for the help man.
I actually bought a socket that's meant for the sensor at my parts store, might send it back.

i would, chances are it wont fit, iirc the say bar is at the end of the sensor. i got a socket on mine but it got stuck on the bar. then had a wrench that fit but you only get 1/8 of a turn, so out came the channel locks, and off it came in seconds. i was surprised to hear Bill suggest channel locks as well to deal with it.

oh. big tip, have a small pan under the sensor, to catch the oil that will pour out, a 1/4 quart maybe.

If you are changing the oil at the same time it makes it a lot easier to pull the oil filter off.
