    GTP+007.JPG i have a 97 pontiac grandprix gtp i cant find out where do that plug go my uncle did a lim job on my car today but the car would only run if we hold our foot on the gas pedal we cant figure out where do that plug go can someone plase help

    Intake air temp sensor or coolant temp sensor
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood

    if its not for the iat sensor in the intake tube.

    it could be the temp sensor under the t stat housing.

    Yup. temp sensor under the thermostat on the LIM.

    As for the running with only the foot on the gas, if the plug doesnt fix it you may have a big vacuum leak.

    yeah lim job= a vac leak. check all the T's, and the fat vac line off the TB. it seems every one who does a lim job breaks a vac line or two. its common.

    i re did all my vac lines for about 5 bucks, and that included 2 new T's, i used plastic T's its all thats out there.

    i saw the plug to the main harness on top of the engine on the open pig tail. i knew that was the temp sensor plug right away.

    ok i found the temp sensor and plug it up but it didnt fix the problem my car would only start if my foot is on the gas pedal but when i unplug my mass air flow sensor the car would stay running but it act like im constantly stomping the gas pedal to the floor

    Now you need to fix the vacuum leak. Use some tb cleaner to find the leak.
