I have a 1998 gtp with 270,000 miles on it. I recently replaced the head gaskets on it. And since then ive notice the low oil light flickering on when i come to a stop. I check the oil it full.. im wondering should i go to a thicker weight of oil. Im currently using 5w30. What you guy think???

I believe in another thread you posted in, someone said to actually check your oil pressure. If it is indeed getting that low at idle the motor is just about to die. To my knowledge our oil pressure light comes on at less than 10 psi of oil pressure.

Othwise just dump some 10w40 in it, it may last for a while.
