    Got a question, zzp says NGK TR55IX plugs should only be used on stock GTP's, and that they recommend TR6IX for around a 3.4 setup.On the safely modding thread, blue says the TR6 is 2 heat ranges cooler, and the TR55 should be used for around a 3.4 setup.Im only wanting 1 heat range cooler than stock for a GTP.

    Which is one range cooler, TR55IX or TR6IX?

    Not trying to bash the safely modding thread or anything, i just want to make shure b4 i buy.I would hate to have to send anything back to zzp.Ive had issues with there "customer service" b4.lol

    well bud why do you want a cooler spark on a stock car?

    I have no experience with ngk but I run al104's
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood
    01 gt z7 turbo tep trans zzp motor
    08 g8 gt cam exhaust 11.87@118

    Stick some plugs in and see what happens.

    I found TR6's were too cold for a smaller pulley with an intercooler, but perfect when i got rid of the intercooler, and ported the heads.

    Didn't change the pulley.

    So figure that out.

    Lol yes I know that. But I was just going off of what ya said there. No sense in throwing in cooler plugs until you got the 3.4 setup going on. Unless that is you're just speaking futuristic there

    Just to close this thread out, i did get tr6IX's, they are 1 heat range cooler than stock for ngk.TR55IX is the stocker.
