I just got my motor all back to gether and i have no oil pressure. I checked everthing out and can not find the problem. i have the 3.8 gtp. I have full exhaust, k&n air filter, 3.6in pully,my pcm has been flashed, i have a 180 deg thermastat, shift kit, 2 stages colder plugs. I have just taken the motor all apart and put all new bolts, berrings, tephlon coated pistons, vs cam, ported new heads, and all the normal stuff you do in a rebuild. with the new the new oil pump i packed it full of vacoline and torqed it all down so im lost to why its not primming..... any ideas??????????

Doesnt the oil filter neck have a spring in there or something? Or that might be on the pump.

Series II supposedly don't need to be packed. However, I know guys that have and had success. Before firing, I assume you disconnected the ICM and cranked for quite a while to get oil flowing via the pump?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I'm going with the pressure spring is not even in there or seated wrong... But usually when seated wrong, you have a disgusting amount of pressure
