You'll never regret that pan.

Leave it to Zzp to **** up my shipping. I'm in Michigan one day for ups. So they ship it usps... I'm going on 2days now and nothing.. Usps came today so looks like I'll be lucky for tomorrow. No wonder usps is losing so much business

That's Zzp for you and USPS FTL lol UPS all the way. Trans go shift kit can be purchased from tripleedgeperformance or you could get one off eBay. Avoid the Zzp shift kit. Spacers are cheap and tend to mushroom very quietly.
Hey Bill which way is up on this oil pickup gasket... Does the brown ring face the pickup tube?

Anyone else?

Can I sit my engine on the aluminum pan and mount? I don't trust my engine hoist to hold it for 24hrs til I get the rest of my parts..
Also I found a broken knock sensor... The white tip moves freely and you can shake it and it rattles like a can

I sit them on the pans all the time. Aluminum is great cause it's flat.
IDK on the gasket.. all the ones I've had were just the paper. I've used RTv only as well.
Gotcha. Yeah the gasket is an oem gasket I got from the dealership. Guess lll just use some rtv on the one side.

Mmm aluminum

It's funny, I'd bolt it up similar to the way you have as well...yet I've heard/seen a ton of guys break that front aluminum bracket by doing it.
When you go to drop it in. If you take an old engine lift bracket and cut about half of it at the bolt end...you can slide it over an exhaust stud by the EGR to have 4 points for a leveler...
I was very hesitate too lift it that way I was extremely worried. I will be finding a different way to lift it into the car. I don't have any cutting tools unfortunately

Ok...another thing you can do is pull the EGR off, pull that bracket off....then run your chain to the ends of the heads
How's this.. I said the rear knock sensor was broken... Got a new one and I'm about to put them back in when I realized the holes were plugged up.. I had to use a screwdriver for a few minutes trying to clear them... Nasty ass coolant out of both holes... Anyways anyone know if that can throw off knock readings?

It's sad. everything is done except for the starter because I can't find my 3rd torque Converter bolt.

keep looking, its wedged under the back tire, you kicked it there lol
and you know what they say, you'll find it in the last place you look lol
parts stores may carry that, being its sunday and the dealers and most junk yards are closed.
Carquest has a set of 4 but they are the "help", brand and say fits various RWD gm vehicles from 1979+ m10-1.50 x 15mm... Not sure if I want to try one of those.
I tore the garage apart and can't find it.. Just up and vanished like a fart in the wind.

Yeah I went all last week without my car. Getting dripped off at work from the fiancée sucks. I found one at ace Hardware. Only a 8.8 grade but I know a few people who have used them

Bosch D3430 oil filter... Bigger is better![]()
The Bosch is Just a hair shorter then the oem Pf52 this picture of my purolator, pure one stock size. The pf47
Says it can hold 300% more dirt. Plenty of people say the Pf52 fits without issue this should do just fine
