i got a 99 coolant bottle from the junkyard and i was wondering if it would fit into a 97 gtp?

Why not? lol...
Just drill the strut tower and mount it.
If you don't have traction control, yes it will. If you have traction control...the module is in the way on the firewall. I've seen a few that modded the 99 bottle to make it fit.
I believe some may have had the option. Regals did, other W bodies did. Pretty sure it was optional.
No in 97 it was disabled for GTP's and since he has a GTP its the reason I stated what I did:
97 - 06 GTP Model Differences | ZZP NewsThe 97s DO NOT have tire pressure sensors. The 97s have the Delco Delphi ABS system, which could not handle the GTP power for TCS. So TCS was disabled on the 97 GTP, but works on the GT and SE. The “Tire Pressure” light was part of the Delphi ABS system; it did not sense pressure but noticed differences in tire rotation speed. When the Delphi was replace with Bosch, TCS was enabled but the “tire pressure” light was lost.
