The way the motor rocks and that sound it makes makes me wanna say metal is kissing metal . But I honestly hope it's struggling to idle and has a bad exhaust leak nothing a tune and exhaust work couldn't fix .

I wouldnt be surprised i mean it does get pretty loud at times, i just dont know where to start. Tear it all down or spend 500 bucks to tune it and hope it doesnt go boom?

200 bucks for a gasket kit I mean either way you'll find out eventually . I would tear it down to check it all out . If it ends up being good well then you have that piece in mind . And if its not u have all the gaskets ready to go for a new short block to put all your goodies onto. Best bet would be check for any leaks before getting to deep

Shaking and ticking... wonky balance shaft... somehow...?

Might as well check your spark plugs to begin sleuthing evidence of.... foul play...
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Will do I just hope I don't have to tear it all apart but it seems like that might be the case to really find out what this engine has performance wise internally and most likely came it if it is stroked. Xpz or xp if possible. But for now gotta wait till tomorrow too check it out any ideas what I should look for or take a pic or video of?

    Here's another video opinions?
It does seem to me that it's a tune issue but what do you think I tried scanning as well for codes but the plug doesn't work is there a fuse for that?

If the cig lighter fuse is blown, the obd 2 port will not work.

Pull the front valve cover and see if your rockers have putting dents in it. They might be the wrong size or the wrong size plus mystery cam.

Well keep in mind it's the gtx so most likely they are the slp rockers which I believe are 1.8 ratio.
Also if it is stroked would that have anything to do with it? Cammed I doubt but who knows I haven't dig in it much.

the GTX rarely game with the 1.8 rollers. RARELY.

and most likely it'd have GTX stage 3 badges on it.

^This. As far as I knew, 90% of GTX cars were intake, headers/exhaust, slightly smaller pulley and tune. Some may have been extensively built but they would have been badged that way and most likely customer ordered that way.

90% of GTX were no more than appearance packages with the ram air box. a couple got the slp catback. and even fewer got a set of 1.8 roller rockers and a 3.5 pulley.

As far as I know it has all that it might of had the 3.5 pulley but as you can see there is now a mps. It has the slp headers, catback, intake, hood and such and the rockers in it aren't stock.
