Well..TM would induce KR to remove timing and back you down. TM kicks in with various torque levels, abusive behavior etc etc. TM is usually induced at shift points to keep you from full power shifting.

Is that why after I removed TM from my car, my WOT 1-2 shift feels like a gunshot to the head?
