Been having catalytic convertor problem. Soo... I bought a high flow magnaflow cat with 2.5 inch inlet and outlet. will that fit right on there? Or do i need to mod it to get it to fit. I havent looked yet Im still working. It is a weld on so i know i will have to cut the old one out. but is that the correct size for an easy fit?

I was under the impression the factory downpipe went to a 3" just before the converter and then squishes down for the rear 02 sensor. If you have a good shop do the work they can make it work and weld it in and you won't have any problems. But you might see if they can fix the squished area and have the 02 sensor mounted sideways so you get better flow.

so do you think that i should buy an adapter from the 3 in down to the 2.5 for that so it would be easier to weld? i bought the metal spun high flow cat from zzp and didnt know which one i should have gotten. do you know by chance how well that magnaflow high flow cats sound?

Not for sure on the sound. I have SD Headers/catless and I have a bit louder tone but with factory res and mufflers its still quiet. I do need a better resonator as mine is more raspy than I'd like. But either way it won't be much louder, slightly but not very much.

As for the adapters I wouldn't think you would need it. A good exhaust shop should have the tools to stretch the pipe out to make an adapter should the need arise. Just be honest with them up front that way they can check and be sure before they cut it out and leave you in a bind.
