The oils still pretty clear with that yellowish tint the new stuff has. i checked the dipstick and i didn't see any metal shavings on it or anything. but my neighbor owns drayton auto care on dixie was the one that said it was the main bearings. The car would keep getting harder and harder to start and the starter draws like all the energy from the battery trying to start it now since its seized.

From his description...he's not hydrolocked. He had the squealing pig of death sound and someone else confirmed the knocking. It's dead motor .
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

yeah..people call it a main bearing or rod bearing. Realistically it's usually a rod bearing which can be called lower end and poof.. it all sounds like the death knock.
