Your exhaust is working the way it should. You shouldn't hear much when you let off.

If you want louder, then either swap out the mufflers, or put in headers. If you want stupid loud, put a cut-out right behind the downpipe on the header.

why would you want it loud all the time? that drone you get at 42 MPH is horrible.

could delete the resonator but you will get mega drone.
On another note you shouldn't make 2 threads about the same topic, one thread will most likely get deleted or get merged into one thread.

You want v8 sound I'm guessing (as everyone does) remember they have 2 extra cylinders lol. But to have a rougher idle, change the resonator with a straight pipe, or smaller glass pack or some sort of different resonator. Or get louder mufflers.

its louder outside than it sounds from in the cabin just remember that. if u want loud everywhere res delete can help with that. yes there will be drone but if you want it loud you shouldnt care about the drone. next step is headers.

do it, then you will see how it really sounds. then 3 days later your like this sucks, and put the mufflers back on. these engines just dont sound good.

leave it stock and quiet and enjoy it. at least thats how i feel. some like it to be louder, but ive yet to hear any 3800 i liked, on you tube or in person.

hell i just met a guy with a stage 3 regal and he had a slp cat back, i didn't like it at all. sounded like a wet fart.
