    When I start my car I see smoke, and I look it my valve cover is leaking did GM have a recall on this, I don't wanna phone in and look like a knob. - Thanks - Mel

    the recall is for the front cover only, call any Gm dealer with your vin # and they can tell you if the recall has been done or not to your car.

    Only the GTP model had a recall for the valve cover and I believe it was for the front or rear only.

    I would clean the oil up asap if its smoking and then replace the valve cover gaskets, your car is at risk of starting on fire.

    Yes GM had a recall on this issue.
    They will fix it for you as long as your vin comes up in the system as one of the affected models. Call your local dealership and find out.

    its only the front cover. for s/c engines only. i called GM to find out if mine was done or not.

    Like all said it is the front valve cover gasket and grommets they also replace the front wire holder with reg wireholders to keep the wires away from the manifolds and oil
    2.4Pulley, Ngk Tr7 plugs, Self tune, Methanol injection
    23.5 deg timing gen v,78mm billet tb , Poly dog mounts, Sd headers
    Zzp s2 intercooler ,UD wp pulley,is2cam,130# springs modded retainers
    P&P heads and lim built trans 3.29 gears harden parts 2500 stall shift kit

    Dashboard register your car with GM and it will come up with any active recalls
