Just put a GT2 in it and snail it.
That'll be lumpy enough.

I have the xpz as a dd. Getting 24.5mpg going to work and back. 75% highway. Anyways do yourself a favor and make sure you put bronze vale guides in your heads. I had the stock heads beat out the guides in less then 1000 miles. Redid my heads with bronze guide and 800 miles later zero knock and things are looking up. I'm running a 3.1 pulley with a fs I/c and like I said zero knock. I'm waiting on a tune from a local shop. I can tell you that there are some ranges that when I stomp er down that this cam is some serious s--t. I do have a couple ranges that are just a bit lazy. 45mph stomp sucks. stomp on her at 25mph and hang on to the steering wheel. Out of a dig with street tires it's almost silly. any thing more then 1/2 throttle and your busting loose. Now at 55 to 60 stomp her down and hang on cause it feels like she is going to lift off the road. Like I said I have a modest tune in with 42lb injectors. 16 Degrees of timing @ wot. I can't wait to see what she will do when it's tuned.
Scott Cook gets credit for this.

What was the point in that?
If only that really told us much of anything.
Heres a funny bit: the XPZ is pretty much an XP with more lift/higher ramp rate.
Intense had some comparison between the XPZ and S3, S3 had more top end, XPZ had more bottom end.
best thing would be to drive a car with each cam, but thats pretty difficult as those cars are few and far between.
because i'm a bit of a ricer, the XPZ doesn't have enough of that "cam sound" in comparison to an IS3. if i were to debate between the two, IS3 all the way. and top end isn't a bad thing considering the car is FWD and you're gonna blow off the tires with any considerable amount of pressure on the gas pedal anyway.
fun cam: go huge, make it sound good.
Oh he did it too.
He just couldn't keep a motor in it![]()
About 21K...and a couple years...Till I demodded and wanted something reliable. I also daily'd it...and beat the snot out of it. I wasn't nice to that car at all. Aggressive tuning as well...probably didn't help I went through a couple double rollers either because I wanted to hear the cam and I set the idle at 625~. Didn't plan on really keeping it together more than 10k...so I was more than impressed when people told me it wouldn't last more than a few hundred miles since the motor was built from scratch.
maybe ill just install the Is1 cam. roller rockers, springs, lifters, and whatnot from my other motor and just throw a turbo in instead of a new cam and heads.... I enjoy the sound of my supercharger too much tho
